Diego Morga – Pianist and Composer, Arranger. Master’s Degree in “Jazz Music” Conservatory of Music “N. Piccinni” – Bari (Italy) Postgraduate Education in Musical Accompaniment for Dance” The Danish National School of Performing Arts – Copenhagen (Denmark) Pianist, composer and arranger suspended between jazz, post-minimalism and film music.

Composes music for contemporary dance and short films collaborating with some of the most important professionals of international dance and music scene. After his first album “Esprimendo L’Impresso”, a solo piano work published in 2000, it’s time for “Da Qui Passano I Venti” published by Dodicilune Records and released in 2007. Guests in this album are Sergio Rubini (very famous italian director and actor), to declaim ‘I can write the verses’ of P. Neruda (track 3) and Ferruccio Spinetti (amazing contrabass in track 7).

In november 2011 he is on the stage of “Time Zones – sulla via delle musiche possibili”, an important international music festival (that takes place in Bari – Italy – and sees Yann Tiersen and the danish singer/songwriter Agnes Obel as leading guests) to present his music.

In the last months of 2012, just moved to Copenhagen, he starts his collaboration as freelance pianist for ballet and contemporary dance with the “Royal Danish Theater” (Det Kongelige Teater), the “Danish National School of Performing Arts” (Statens Scenekunstskole) in Copenhagen, the “Accademia Nazionale della Danza” in Rome, Dansk Danseteater” (Copenhagen), “Skåne Dansteater” (Malmö) and the “Tivoli Pantomimeteatret” (Copenhagen).

Fluorescenze” is his first production released in Copenhagen by Gateway music (2013) and represents the philosophical, artistic and creative continuation of the previous albums. New original compositions written in a period of about two years working with ballet and contemporary dance. In this last albums there are also three tracks entitled “Incipit”, free jazz “digressions” inspired by some (very few) bars from the Fryderyk Chopin Nocturne n.2 in Eb Op. 9/2.


In November 2017 he releases his last album “Songs on My Mind” a great work of very

personal and refined re-arrangements of some very famous masterpieces from pop, rock and jazz repertoire of the latest 50 years.

During these 7 years living in Copenhagen he had the pleasure to perform his live concerts in different important places and occasions as theItalienske Kulturinstitut i København, Fredagskirken concerts in Vesterbrotorv (Copenhagen), the Vinterjazz festival in Copenhagen and Live at Sansakizaka Cafè in Tokyo.
