Born in Quebec, the gifted soprano Jessica Latouche is considered one of the most promising young emerging artists. Her refined musicality, sensitivity, and natural scenic ability all contribute to making her an impressive artist.
Equally at home on the concert and opera stage she made her début last season with Opéra de Québec in the role of Anna (Nabucco) conducted by Giusepppe Grazioli and performed in the Super Flumina Babylonis (Fauré) with Orchestre Symphonique de Québec conducted by Fabien Gabel and Blanche de la Force (Dialogue des Carmelites) at Laval University Jessica’s recent concert appearances include ‘OSQ sur Le Campus’ with Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, Bach’s Magnificat with Ensemble Polyphonia de Québec , Hymne d’Espoir with Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, multiple concerts during Festival d’Opéra de Québec 2016 to 2019 seasons, a concert tour in China organized by Les Jeunes Ambassadeurs and concerts in Belgium.
Upcoming engagements include, the Queen of Lily (Peau d’âne) with La Relève Musicale de Québec; Sandmännchen and Taumännchen (Hansel und Gretel) with Tempêtes et Passions; Stabat Mater – Pergolese and Vivaldi, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Paysages d’hiver – world creation, with Les Rhapsodes Choir; Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, TBA; Mozart’s Exsultate Jubilate Motet, TBA; role of Leïla (Les Pecheurs de Perles) TBA; role of Grace Frick – world creation, TBA.
Jessica was First Prize Winner at Concours d’art lyrique de La Relève Musical de Québec in 2020, First Prize Winner at Orchestre Canimex Competition in 2019, and Winner in the ‘Voice Category’ at the prestigious Prix d’Europe Competition in 2015.
She is currently completing a vocal arts degree at Laval University under the direction of internationally acclaimed baritone, Jean-François Lapointe
