Leonor Robert was born in Lisbon, in 1997. She studied first at the National Conservatory of Portugal with Filomena Amaro and Ana Paula Russo, continuing her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig, with Professor Brigitte Wohlfarth.
Between 2014 and 2017, she was engaged in the Teatro Ibérico in Lisbon, singing the roles of “Bastienne” in Mozart’s opera Bastien und Bastienne and “Manuelita”(Pepito, Offenbach).
In July of 2018, she made her debut in Italy, as Lisa in the production of “La Sonnambula” at the Teatro Mancinelli in Orvieto, conducted by Damiano Davide, overviewed by Maurizio Arena, and directed by Stefano Piacenti.
In February of 2019, Leonor made her debut as Adele in a production of the operetta “Die Fledermaus” (Johann Strauss) at the Schloss Belvedere in Weimar, conducted by Robin Portune and David Preil, and in September of 2019, she gave her role and house debut as Zerlina in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” at the Varna State Opera, conducted by Ayrat Kashaev and directed by Ludek Golat.
On the 2020-2021 season, she will debut the role of Adina in Donizetti’s opera “L’Elisir d’Amore”, giving her house debut at the Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Teatro Argentina di Roma, Teatro Eliseo di Roma, Teatro Pergolesi di Jesi, Teatro Comunale Luca Ronconi di Gubbio and Teatro Alfonso Rendano di Cosenza.
In Germany, Leonor has sung in diverse Opera and Operetta Recitals in Schloss Gohlis, in the Mendelssohn Haus, singing various concerts as a soloist with the Salonorchester Capuccino. She is often engaged by the “Gesellschaft zur Förderung junger begabter SängerInnen und PianistInnen.” as a soloist of diverse concerts and galas throughout Germany and Austria, and sings often with the Wiener Kaiser Orchester.
Leonor has been awarded in multiple international competitions. In April of 2019, she was awarded the 2nd Prize at the Bell’Arte International Singing competition that took place in Braine l’Alleud in Belgium. In January of 2019, Leonor was awarded the 3rd Prize at the singing competition of Les Musicales du Centre in Blois and in June of 2018, she was awarded the 2nd Prize, Best Interpretation Prize and Artistic skills “Renata Sabougui” special Prize at the “PRAZSKÝ PEVEC” competition that took place at the National Theater in Prague.
In Portugal, she was also laureated in the National Singing Contest of National Conservatories – VI Edition and in the Prix Bomtempo with a 3rd Prize and a 2nd ex aequo Prize, respectively.
Leonor Robert has worked privately or in masterclasses with Lilian Watson, Lucia Mazzaria, Susan Waters, Yvonne Kenny, Jeanette Favaro-Reuter, Cheryl Studer, Marco Camastra, Gabriella Ravazzi, Sumi Jo, Armando Ariostini, Peter Berne, Byron Knutson, Anna Sammuil, Norma Sharp and others.
