Nicknamed the extra-terrestrial for her atypical playing and artistic daring, Pauline Haas made her debut in the musical world at the age of 13, winning the first prize of the “Lily Laskine Junior Competition” as well as the prize of interpretation of the contemporary work. At 19, her career was rewarded with a nomination for the “Victoires de la Musique Classique” in the “Revelation soloist instrumental” category.
Born in 1992 into a Franco-Uruguayan family, she developed a passion for the performing arts very early on, before setting her sights on the harp in 2000. Three years later, she gave her first recital and the following year, her first concert with orchestra, herself conducting the harp. From then on, she has performed as a soloist and in chamber music and soloist with orchestra, all over the world, in halls and festivals such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Barbican Concert Hall in London, the Châtelet theater and the Philharmonie in Paris, the Nacional auditorium in Madrid, La Folle jour de Nantes (in Nantes, IN THE REGION, and in Japan), the Besançon Festival, the Arles Festival, the JMFrance, The holidays of Monsieur Haydn, the Pocket concerts …
She is brought to share the stage with musicians such as Leandro Marziotte, Cyrille Dubois, Alexis Galpérine, Amiram Ganz, Violaine Despeyroux, Herbert Kefer, Alain Meunier, Marc Grauwels, Karl-Heinz Schütz, François Hagenmuller, Thomas Bloch, the Girard quartets , Voce and Minetti or the actors Olivier Achard and Coline Serreau. As a soloist with orchestra, we find her under the direction of conductors Marc Albrecht, Fernand Quatrocchi, Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Jan Latham-Koenig, with the orchestras of Mexico, Strasbourg, Lviv … She also participates in numerous radio and television programs, such as “Génération jeunes interprètes” and “Matin des musicians” on France Musique, or more recently “La Zygel Académie” on France 2.
In 2007, she was admitted 1st appointed unanimously at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, in harp and chamber music classes. She completed her studies there in 2011, obtaining, one year in advance, a Master 2 with very good honors. She was also the recipient of numerous prizes and awards (3rd Prize in the Lille international competition, Académie des marches de l’Est, Alsace Foundation, Safran Foundation, Ufam …) Carried by her curiosity, she constantly pushes the limits of her instrument, practicing all historical and traditional harps, carrying out numerous transcriptions, creating partnerships with various artistic disciplines.
Her taste for contemporary music will give her the opportunity to perform within the Intercontemporain ensemble, to be the dedicatee of twenty works, to integrate various jazz and rock formations, and to record for several film scores. Her first disc dedicated to romantic transcriptions is hailed by critics, as the advent of a new harp, as never heard before. She is currently recording a series of French music records as well as an album of original songs and compositions. Very attached to the transmission of her art, she became in 2014, godmother of the Uruguayan and Alsatian Sistemas. She gives master-classes, leads workshops in schools, and is involved in various humanitarian, ecological and social projects. Reflecting her eclecticism, in 2017 she founded the “A Cœurs Battants” Festival, the profits of which are donated to the Adèle de Glaubitz association.
